About Us

Meet Rachael

Hi! I am Rachael. A lover of water, change and facing challenges to hard things in life. I created my business, “Growing Space” in 2020 after I left the corporate world during the pandemic. I checked off all the boxes in life and felt unfulfilled. After I became certified as a Life Coach, I found my niche in helping adults overcome their fear of the water. I began swimming early on in life. I was on the swim team, and as silly as it sounds, I took lap swimming as an elective in college. Water has always been my safe place.

My place to get out of my head, and get into my heart. It is my place to meditate, and to let go of the “rat race” of life. So once I found myself coaching others in the water, those who had fear of the water, I knew this was my place.

My space to allow others to grow, for others to feel seen, heard and to feel safe. Because I know fear, and facing the hard things in life, it is my honor, and my privilege to help others face their fear of the water. In life, and in learning to swim, taking small steps, finding your rhythm can bring confidence and joy. Walking (swimming) alongside others in learning how their body can float, that they can take small steps in learning how to exchange their air in and out of water, has been by far, the most rewarding career I have ever swam into. Please consider learning to swim because not only is it a life saving survival skill. It is considered the best sport due to it’s unique combination of being a low-impact, full-body workout that builds both cardiovascular endurance and muscle strength. The rhythmic nature of swimming promotes meditation, reduces stress, and releases serotonin and dopamine. It’s a win, win sport and way to be with yourself, which is hard to do in the world we live in.

Meet Rachael

Hi, I’m Rachael — a lover of water, self-discovery, and personal growth.I created my business, Growing Space, during the challenging times of the pandemic. Like many, I found myself navigating uncertainty and change, which ultimately led me to a deeper sense of purpose. Through that journey, I discovered my passion for helping adults learn to swim and, for many, overcome their fear of the water.Swimming and being around water has always been a meaningful part of my life. It has been my space to step away from the noise of everyday life, to reconnect with myself, and to find calm and clarity. Over time, I realized that this same space could become a place of transformation for others.Through my work, I strive to create a safe and supportive environment where individuals feel seen, heard, and encouraged. I understand what it means to face fear and step into the unknown, and it is both an honor and a privilege to guide others through that journey.Whether it’s learning to float, building confidence in the water, or simply taking those first small steps, each moment is meaningful. Swimming is not only a life-saving skill—it’s also a powerful way to build strength, reduce stress, and reconnect with yourself.
